Our Material Partners

Face weight: the weight of the grass fiber only, in ounces per square yard.
Pile height: the length of the blades, in inches.
Gauge and stitch rate: how the stitches are spaced, usually 3/8 inch on residential turf.
Backing system: the layers and coating holding the turf together; heavier, well-coated backings hold stitches and resist wrinkling.
Drainage rate: how fast water passes through, so the yard does not puddle after rain or hosing.
Plus infill: the granular material brushed in after installation helps blades stand up, adds stability and cushioning, and supports drainage.
